Dogbone and CVD measurements

I was thinking there should be a place to get easy reference to know the measurements of buggy and truck dogbones and CVDs. I've got RC10 and B4; RC10T, T2, T3, and T4; Custom Works short and schmedium. This seems like a good starting point. I'm not sure though it there are standard measurement refernce locations already established. I see dogbones listed by length, but I don't know if that's overall length, or from the outer edges of the pins, or from the center of the pins. The graphic below has lettered reference points and numbers for some of the proposed measurement locations. Dashed lines are to the center of a pin or hole location. Any thoughts on which measurements make sense or would be most usable?

I think it's supposed to be from the center of the pins/hole on the bones.

Yes. The critical dimensions are:

The pin to pin lengths on the bone. This is the most telling.
Ball diameter.
Length of axle behind the pin hole.

Dimensions listed are usually the overall bone length which is practically useless. This data you take would be much more useful.

The ball diameter is less critical but if you start looking at other brands, it becomes important. Yokomo for example.

This will be the initial group getting measured. Most are used, but still straight. Measurements 1 through 9 refer to the graphic in the first post.

It looks like the rc10 DS dogbones are

46mm (measurement 7 end to end) Thanks to LoboNYC for the information.

That's a lot of great info, thanks for doing this. Been driving myself nuts trying to find some CVD's to fit my B4. I don't even have dog bones or axles for it, was a parts car someone took what they needed from. Was hoping something from Custom Work might work, I don't want to pay $80 on Ebay for set....
