I decided to sell my T4, because I really don't use it very often. But, I couldn't get rid of the Novak brushless system I had in it. I love brushless. So, what to do with it? Well, the only single motor runner RC I own is my beloved gold tub hopped up Stealth. So, it seemed like the obvious thing to do. Now I just have to figure out proper gearing for this massive power plant.

which brushless system is that? what sized brushed motor is that comparable to?

It's the Novak Velociti 5.5, which means it's a 5 1/2 turn motor. I don't know what the equivelent brushed motor would be. It may be a 5.5 turn brushed motor, this thing is insanely powerful.

toss an 84/23 or 24 on it, and go rip on it a bit. see how that works.

Yeah, that novak 5.5 is a really hot motor and equal to a 9 or 10 turn brushed motor. With the crazy batteries we have today, you're better off running lower gear ratios. For the RC10T, you probably want to run 15/87 and for the rc10 16/81 or 17/84.

I don't have a 10T, and I just sold my T4. This is my only AE runner right now.

84/23-24 might be a little high. try an 84/19-20. give that a shot. the gearing will really depend of what your gonna do with the car.

I run 21/81 on a 6.5 in a sprint car on dirt oval (buggy tire). A 5.5 is crazy in a 2wd buggy for offroad, most seem to run 7.5 or 8.5. Either way a 19 or 20 with an 84 would be a better start.
