Brushed motors display stand

I've been looking around the forum to find out what other people with brushed motor collections use to display them but couldn't find many ideas...
Anyone got any ideas about how to elegantly display them? I've seen some acrylic shelves and those seem to be like a good solution for 15-20 motors but I have 200+.
Saw some wood shelves as well but I'm not sure I like the look...
Any suggestions are welcome!

This is mine. Just a simple shelf board with a bunch of 1/8 holes in it.
These threads have pictures of several other people's displays.

I like the stepped designs better. Once I get some more shelving, I will probably build one like that.

Yes, that's a definitely a possibility with multiple shelves on top of each other. Density of your layout is good but makes each motor a little less visible when they're on the back rows...
I saw this one as well which is quite nice to allow the motors at the back to be still visible:

That was kinda rushed.
I was moving stuff around and needed to make room. I already had the shelf, so I just drilled some holes in it.

What about using a piece of plexiglass? Home improvement stores often have long strip of 1/4” thick in the trash can in their cutting area…here they will give it to you if you ask…as mentioned it’s just a matter of drilling holes for your motors…you could even do a wooden box type frame and use the plexi as the shelves…maybe add in some led strip lights in the back to really show them off…just random thoughts of how I would do it…

Eventually I too would like to display my motors, I’ve always wondered if a Hot Wheels/ Matchbox wall display case would work out nicely. I do plan on finding out. Figured maybe use clear cabinet door bump stops to keep them from rolling out when the case is opened.

That’s exactly what I had in my mind although I was talking about building it from scratch…hot wheels case never entered my mind but would save a ton of work!!!

That's a great idea, do you have any link to where one of those could be purchased? I found quite some hits on Amazon and other usual Chinese sites but quality seems a bit "variable"
Re keeping them inside when the lid is open: you could offset the bottom by adding a flat piece of wood or other so that it tilts backwards at a 5-10°angle and motors would remain inside. I like the idea, doing some research on this.

That Matchbox display case gives me an idea. I'm using these makeup displays as cheap-but-attractive display racks for my slot cars...they'd work just as well for motors. Especially if you don't have wire leads soldered on them...plus, it might be better to display them end-to-end rather than upright, too close together, for the magnetic attraction of adjacent motors.

That Reedy BK, drool...
It's fake. But that MCI decal goes extremely well with the blue aluminum endbell on the Team Orion motor.

I have mine displayed like this, pretty simple setup, zippo lighter stands and perspex shelving.

Congrats, this is definitely a nice display.
Are the motor stands homemade or available somewhere?
I like the angled presentation more but have not found something so far for this task.

I know this is a motor display thread, but is there a build thread on that Schumacher?
