Local Southern California Find

Howdy,

I bought another car from the original owner. He was only about 25 miles from me.

It’s got quite a few scratches on the original chassis and the one it’s currently fitted with. From what I was able to look up, it looks like maybe a Trinity chassis.

The car came with the original box, a bunch of wheels and tires, original body painted (used a bit) and brand new truck body, which I haven’t been able to ID. Maybe someone here can let me know what it is. It looks like the owner was going to do a monster truck conversion.

It also came with some extra parts and most of the original stickers and what’s left of the “Coke” stickers.

When I asked the owner about monster truck tires he said it had been so long, that he didn’t remember what his plans were with it.

Maybe these are posted a lot here, but one cool thing I found in his paperwork was a hobby shop magazine/ad.

Feel free to point out anything good or bad about the car. I don’t mind, and thanks for looking!

That looks like a nice find. looks to be in great condition and has a nice MIP transmission along with a graphite chassis.

I have a car with that same graphite chassis. I saw one listed recently on eBay that was claimed to be a Trinity chassis. It looks like a nice Twister modified motor is mounted up. Lots of nice items there.

Thanks guys. With the prices going up on eBay, I thought this was a pretty good deal for $275.

We don't do appraisals on the site but you got a good deal..

Except for a few parts, you nearly have another car in pieces. I'd say that you got a smoking deal. The MIP trans alone would cover a majority of the price.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’m working so much, it seems all I have to do is find a car or truck, but haven’t had time to clean them up or get them running.

Part of the fun for me is finding them anyway. So I can’t complain!
