I don't know much about this single belt conversion kit for XX4. If you have any information to share about the purpose or performance impact of this conversion please share!

This was the first kit offered by X factory according to their manual. The spur gear is super large! The composite molded graphite chassis is light and sturdy. Although not shown it comes with two bodies and two wings in the kit. There are pen marks on a couple of rubber pieces, so this was a very hands-on manual production effort. Overall I'm impressed with their engineering effort. Click on photo for higher resolution.

That's a very cool looking bit of kit.

Are you planning on building this with a donor XX4?

I will leave it as is for now. I'm not sure many NIB conversion kits exist out there, so maybe an RC museum will appreciate what I have lol. I'm horrible at running my vintage cars unless I have another version of the same thing.

I posted the picture of the manual because I thought it was cool to have the CEO really make an earnest effort to satisfy customers back in the day. I appreciate the engineering and the spirit of entrepreneurship ;)

Chazz was a great human being. I met him a few times when they traveled out here to California, back when he had podcasts on the website, he had interviewed me and my son (5 at the time, he is 20 now). I really miss X Factory. I love my X5 sq, and my 2wd X6 buggies. I have one Stadium truck in poor condition, been talking with the current owner of the inventory to see if I can get a fresh chassis to rebuild it.

I am no museum, but if you let that go, I'd love to add it to my growing X Factory collection :) I am not (right now) collecting their CF versions of cars, only the plastic molded chassis cars.
