I noticed a hairline crack forming on the front shock tower (in the place they always crack). I've seen 3D towers that might be better, but thought of a different approach. The OD of the top shock mounts is exactly 7mm, so I got some 7mm ID, 8.5mm OD stainless tube & cut them to fit the towers. In the rear it's just a slot (to slide past the lower molded brace), in the front I cut about half off the diameter to slide them all the way on. It's a tight fit, I used a vise to install, but that's perfect! Hopefully this cures the broken tower blues, but only time will tell! I'll report back once I get a chance to run the track a few laps

That 10T body is a pretty good fit. I like the look of the original Stadium Blitzer body so much that I couldn't bring myself to use anything else.

I recently read your thread, it inspired me to do something about those pesky towers!

And I agree that the original body is the best, but I have a fully restored original one, so thought I'd mix it up for the runner.

Those are nice looking shocks on there. Are those Tamiya?

Thanks, and yep, 53926 DF-03 Aluminum Damper Set, they fit perfectly, I'm using the stock Blitzer springs though for proper handling.

It has 53791 Universals too, in case you're upgrading a Blitzer.
