Well I’ve had this sitting on a shelf in a box for long enough.
Bought it a few years back but it was missing a main chassis battery straps and sticker set. I’ve picked up a fibrelite US Nats chassis and a few other bits to throw on it so here goes

Side plates ready to go,
diffs come prebuilt on the works. Feels really smooth so I won’t bother pulling it apart just for the sake of it and the layshaft setup in these only takes a couple of seconds to do

On to the chassis and front end next. Unfortunately I found my first problem …… can’t find the carbon centre track rod, I have a feeling I may have left it with a friend of mine that borrowed the carbon parts to create cutting files for them. Oh well guess I need to chase him up or order a new 1 from somewhere.

Works 4wd rear suspension bag is up now. I can’t believe what these parts alone sell for now if you can find them nip

One thing with the works rear hub carriers is you definitely need to put the inner bearings into the bus before attaching the hubs to the arm, if you don’t they won’t go in passed the outer pivot pin
Rear suspension ready to go on

Chassis pretty much done, added a set of alloy posts and carbon battery straps and what sort of Schumacher build would it be without some purple bling on it! Just need to order more purple nuts for this build now.

Ok shock time, I’ll be putting the original pro shocks from the kit on this but they’ll have the purple alloy shock seal housings fitted for good looks.
I was thinking of using these but I’m going to keep them for another project I’ve almost got all the parts for
….. that is unless someone knows where another set of these are available

Love the Bosscat platform, especially with purple bling.
I've a sport with all the Muzzoom Models parts thrown at it as well as pro spec diffs and wider belts.

Always liked the Schumachers, Had a used procat and later a Bosscat sport with a mechanical speed control and plastic bodied shocks i ran in production at Pukekohe.
If i remember it was way underweight too, i think 1500gm was the limit them, i was just under 1400 as i used a micro servo for the speed control.
My only gripe was the slotted self tapping screws, seemed so crude for such a refined car. Would covet a ReRe XLS with that long Parma body and chrome rims.
Cars looking good, will you run it or shelf it?

Hey Craig this one’s a shelfer but I have a procat project I’m getting parts together for at the moment. That 1 I’ll have a go with indoor with modern buggies.
And yeh the Parma fat at body and chromes on a xls is cool.
Thinking of getting a xls shaped chassis for the procat project just so I can run the xls body to really mess with the modern cab forward buggy fan boys. My mid cougar is freaking them out already especially as I get it dialled in more

Nice, Like the XLS body Idea, I've been trial fitting an Optima Pro body and tray to fit onto my Laser zx6.6, Same reason, also don't really warm to the "cab forward shells" Bluegroove in Canada have loads of options.
