We've watched Part II about a million times together and always discuss someone doing a replica of that truck. I'm stoked to see it in person!
Got eyes on this Saturday. It's a dream come true up close. Realizes a long time dream! Runs decent too, if you're into actually running R/C cars... I just like to look.

Bruisers are not meant to go 40+mph , great stuff looked very cool
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
Tested this today....this is how we ran it, didn't want to crash the Black body or scratch the rims...but we never did crash it, but came close twice
Here are the results, it's got alot more speed in it but the tires pizza out real bad at this speed and it gets really scary...but nowhere near top speed, but it's as fast as we want to go with it...that was running 10% nitro...it has so much power...truck ran perfect and never broke down
Came home and put some 50% in it and retuned...just ran it for small length, it was ridiculous how much torque it had...put the 10% back in and put the tune back...big difference where needles need to be between those fuels
The old speed run trick to stop tires ballooning is to use fishing line wound around the tread , it's far from perfect but I reckon you'd break the 50mph

Never heard of that...great idea!...when Thumbs comes down for fest we will give it a go!...like to hit 55mph then we can retire it!

I agree!..we don't don't do the youtube thing so thumbs will video at next fest then post it...he is having trouble getting permission to come tho and keeps blowing us off...sux...maybe we can figure out how to do youtube before then...seems very complicated...I figure the truck will run 60+ by the time he comes....got some ideas
Such a cool and unique build! I cringed when I saw the first video of the speed test. Glad it stayed on its tires!
I remember seeing someone from RCCaraction building nitro crawler type truck that was pretty cool as well. Hard to tell in your pictures, but are you running power to the front axle as well or is it just a rear wheel drive?

Yep, rpm.
Originally released for the rc10t i believe but later labeled rc10gt.
The race is over now. I ended with different tires all around and 2 near empty shocks. But overall I'm extremely pleased with the handling.
And, maybe even more...

I just got this truck and it seems really slow it has the stock motor and msc my raider buggy with the same motor and msc is faster than this truck anyone know if the gearing is the same ? Or is it the bigger tires ?

IIRC coreectly, there were two different counter gears for the Raider. Both came in the box, but one setup was faster than the other-(with the same pinion, obviously.) Perhaps your two boxes are not configured the same...
I bought this truck a long time ago with no idea what I’d do with it other than clean it up one day. Well the purchase of one exhaust manifold for a wrong car later I’ve got an idea.

I'm sorry but I find that really hard to believe. People who just like to be left alone don't spend their lives in the spotlight continually trying to maintain their celebrity status.
