Porsche 959 paint help- turning mf-01x into "Porsche 959"

I am turning my mf-01x into a porsche 959. i have a masking set that will allow me to use the tamiya ps-4 blue , ps-1 white, ps-5 black AND to do the striping. For the striping would the ps-2 red and ps-52 champagne gold aluminum be the correct colors?
Also, what would be the best order of painting. I feel like the paint order could be tricky. I would think to do the blue w/ a silver backing, then the white with a silver backing, then do the black with a silver backing, then the red then back with silver then the gold. But this is the most challenging paint job I have done so I am open to any advice?
