Hi guys.

I am working on rebuilding a gold pan (Cadillac, I believe) to be a fun runner. I am going to keep the 6-gear and everything. :D I am looking at the old shocks and was wondering if there are modern equivalents that are the correct size. I know I have .56 front and 1.32 rear, but how do those lengths correspond to new aftermarket shocks? All of the new stuff is like 60mm, 80mm, etc. and I'm not sure what lengths to get. TIA!

If you measure the eye-to-eye length of the shocks you have that should give you an idea. The length of the shock body will need to be short enough to avoid the shock bottoming out before the chassis.

Around 90mm for the rear and 65mm for the front.

I measured 64mm in the front and 87mm in the rear (with limiters), eye to eye. So, the above mentioned 65 and 90 should do.

Might need to slightly limit the rear.
