A little side project whilst gaining momentum on future AE builds.

FMS 1:18 Chevrolet K10 RTR.

Started by switching wheels to RC4WD 1/18 Gelande II wheels and tires.
Filling the dasch, fabricating quarter window frames out of styrene. (no 3D printing here).
Painted windscreen rubber seal with Tamiya rubber black.
Fabricated sliding rear window frame out of styrene. This was later painted white aluminum (Alclad).
Added needle pin head to quater window and painted the door handles with Alclad chrome.

Fabricated indicator- and gear shifter out of steel wire and styrene.
Painted the dash and bench seat.
Fabricated door panels and hood reinforcement out of styrene.
Swapped out the std friction dampers to oil filled Injora aluminum shocks.
scrapped the upper right link as the chassis has a panhard bar.
Used bare metal foil and Molotow liquid chrome to add trim and Tamiya panel liner.
Only thing left is to add a little strip of styrene for a extended drip rail and chrome it.

The work you are doing here is amazing.
Also, it looks like FMS has done a much better job replicating the old Chevy square body than RC4wd. I have their Blazer and it required a lot of work to make the body and interior look more like the 1:1 truck. I've often questioned; with modern 3d imaging technology, why doesn't it look exactly like the full size version?
Anyway, the FMS K10 looks more like the real deal.
