Modded Frog diff. This one has re-re outdrives (for CVD's), right outdrive shimmed, "Old Frogshot" mod, and Traxxas blue seal bearings.
If that damn Brat body and decals would get here, I might be a little more motivated to move this past a pile of parts.

Got this Blackfoot wired up. Futaba receiver and servo, Novak Rooster, and Reedy 19T Quad Mag.
Made this shelf to mount the receiver inside the chassis and keep out some of the grass and sticks.
Made a bracket to attach the dust cover to the chassis, bracing the shock tower.

Sweet, like a teaser or spy shot but where’s the build thread
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out

Close your eyes and picture bolting a buggy front end on a GT…… that’s the build.
I’ve done one before, the pictures are dead links though.

Thought of the day: don't rebuild shocks after a steroid shot (sinus infection).
Some of those c clips will never be found. They were last heard ricocheting off three walls.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
From an early age, my dad taught me that they were called "oh sh!t clips." I asked him once why when I was really young, and he said "because that is what you say when they go shooting across the garage." I think he was just being polite though, because they always seemed to be referenced as "fawk!" clips by him and everyone else I have ever been around when they go flying!juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 10:23 pm Some of those c clips will never be found. I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Dug out some spare clips and got the shocks built.
Rebuilt a set of Traxxas "Big Bore" shocks (not really, but that's what they call them). Used some 3D printed collars from Frankentruck to allow the use of larger (and much more common) Traxxas Ultra springs.
Then I installed them on my Stampede, with a Factory Works front tower (for long shocks). Also visible is the Pro-line wide front arms, carriers, and steering blocks.
Rear. Also visible are the Nitro Rustler rear carriers, which are more robust and have better geometry than electric versions.
Also added a Factory Works chassis brace.

Took my 10L for it's first test drive this morning. The rear tires break loose pretty easily with a big dose of throttle.

Jerry sent me some shocks for the FXT. Rebuilt them with new shafts (Arrma 45mm) and new seals.
On the truck.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Finally after 2 years some of my cars are out of their boxes and breathing the fresh clean Idaho air. This is half of the new rack system, the other side of the doorway is getting one as well
Ignore how dusty they are. That is stage 2 haha

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
