Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Since it’s been raining for the last few days I decided to cheer my self up with a quick rebuild of my recently acquired Worlds Car today.
The diff gear ist the only part I had to replace so far.
No peroxide treatment this time because I ran out of H2O2. I might do it in the future…
Now I just need a wing, wire, buttons and a set of Pro-Line Pro86s to complete it.
And do a lot of detail fiddling of course

I’m kinda thinking about doing this now to an extra JRX2 I have.. it can be shortened 1.75” and still retain the 5-link. A rear H arm setup could go 3”

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
1.75" shorter doesn't seem comically shortened, but the 5 link setup would be cool to keep. The front connection for the 5 link could probably go a little way further in on a narrowed chassis before there was binding at the pivot balls. A little measuring and geometry, or some experimentation with the lower link removed might give an idea what location changes will still work. Or a 3D printed forward connection block that keeps the links out wide might be another option.BattleTrak wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 6:33 pmI’m kinda thinking about doing this now to an extra JRX2 I have.. it can be shortened 1.75” and still retain the 5-link. I have an absolutely trashed chassis that I'm now definitely going to do this with. H-arms though and Pro towersBattleTrak wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 6:33 pmI’m kinda thinking about doing this now to an extra JRX2 I have.. it can be shortened 1.75” and still retain the 5-link. Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I spent a little more time on the Bandustlerpede. Went shopping for all the mechanicals I need, and remembered all the little stuff, and then completely forgot rear susp arms. Oh well. Printed out a support for the rear shock tower so it fastens at four points as intended. Also went through and refreshed the trans and installed bearings. Body and wheels should be here this weekend.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Made my Hilux trans do stuff. Sounds a bit rough because the mic is close, the spur gear is printed and not exact, and it has an 11t pinion instead of 10t (non-adjustable) because well, that is all I have and the correct gear is hard to find. In the VERY limited time this is going to be run while in my possession, it is just fine. The next guy can work all that out if they feel the need.

Cut the SabulaTech Schkee body for my Eliminator 10. Made from the original Bolink mold. Also mounted up some fresh new foam wheels/tires.
A bit different
