Dropped a bitchin' motor in. 87/17 combo on a SWB chassis. Ready to rip it on an ultra short track (behind the parts wall, thru the secret door of the LHS, on a Friday night in 1992). Steering would be tough though.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

I took out my GT2-e high speed car for its maiden run with its first car body. What a night and day difference. I have a cool new toy
I’ll need to get my son to record some video.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Road tripped for the FBMP local deal of the day. Ad simply stated "RC Parts - $100," then had to go ten pics into the description to see the 10. 4.5 hours of driving, but I am good with it, and networked a new contact looking out for me.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I’m the RC fixer. Last week was a buddies near hopeless T4 I got going. The week before my father in laws A stamp got downgraded to brushed again. He keeps sending it. Today was a different buddy’s VXL stampede. I was done with it in 15 minutes. He even had the parts in the box he forgot about. It’s been sitting for 8 years. It’s freaking 27mhz haha

In the middle of the night I thought about the broken wheelie bar I swapped on my friends stampede.
And how it might fit on the back of my high speed GT2

I played with my son - he had his slash I had my monster 10b. That slash is on 3s and is just indestructible.

Put gear in my new-to-me 3Racing MG Evo Mini racer.... and mounted a McLaren F1 GTR body.
Time for cleaning and paint, later this week

My brother first bought himself and my nephew both Bigfoot Stampedes, which seemed to constantly break all the time. Then he bought himself a Slash 4x4 VXL and my nephew a Rustler 2WD VXL. They're both so much tougher than the Stampedes, and the Slash almost seems as tough as an Arrma (I have a Typhon 6S for a comparison).

The Slash, Rustler, and Stampede share most of the same parts.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 12:52 am My brother first bought himself and my nephew both Bigfoot Stampedes, which seemed to constantly break all the time. The only thing that I've damaged on my Stampede was bending a kingpin. And that happened when I clipped a 16' trailer jack at full speed. It left a huge gouge in the front bumper.
My son managed to bend a kingpin and a shock shaft on his Stampede. He jumped it off the roof of the neighbor's shed.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

The stampede’s VXL 3S was glitching. I went to pull the motor wires from the esc and the female connector came off the computer board of the ESC. I was able to easily disassemble and repair it.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Installed a lipo in my DX5R.
But apparently the radio won't turn off if the battery is over 8.41v. Well I will not stand for this tom foolery so I raided my basement for a switch, tore apart the radio and did some surgery. Now I have a hard power cutoff switch.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
