This is my shelf display RC10B4 Factory Team (FT) buggy. The B4 design is iconic for being the most dominant winning design--ever?.
I installed the after-market blue anodized steering assembly, and aftermarket rear aluminum hubs to finish the blue aluminum theme. For electronics I added vintage hi capacity green NIMH batteries, and old-school KO Propo electronics. A vintage trinity motor with neon pink endbell was added to contrast with all the grey and black. The price comparison in Japan between the RC10B4 (34,800 yen) and the Factory Team B4 (39,800 yen) ^^ not cheap.

The chassis compound quality feels better with the earlier B4 compared to the B4.1 and B4.2. It seems to have higher graphite content (my guess). There is a solid feeling when screwing hardware onto the chassis as well.
This buggy design won an amazing five consecutive IFMAR championships!

Ryan Cavalieri won Team Associated's 25th I.F.M.A.R. World Championship with the RC10B4.1 in 2011.
Martin Achter won Team Associated's 24th I.F.M.A.R. World Championship with the RC10B4 in 2009.
Hayato Matsuzaki won Team Associated's 21st I.F.M.A.R. World Championship with the RC10B4 in 2007.
Neil Cragg won Team Associated's 20th I.F.M.A.R. World Championship with the RC10B4 in 2005.
Billy Easton won Team Associated's 18th I.F.M.A.R. World Championship with the RC10B4 in 2003.

I didn't think the Factory Team B4 came out till quite a while after the Team Car was released.

Associated extensive timeline on their website shows the B4 Team buggy released in 2003, and the B4 Factory Team buggy released in 2004.

Thank you for the correction--late night post. The FT version indeed came out a year later in 2004.
