Enjoy the unboxing pictures of the RC10FX "Special". This recently became part of my Team Associated buggy lineup.

This buggy is marketed in their Yokomo General Import Distributor for Team Associated brochure as having (in Japanese), "...almost the same specifications as the Team Car kit with the replacement of some parts to make it the world's strongest and most competitive off-road racer. The RC10FX Special kit is a machine that Team Yokomo, including Team Associated and world champion Masami Hirosaka created with the idea of competing at the world championship race event. Although the RC-10FX special kit has a lot of features, we have set the price to be particularly affordable so that it can be used by a wide range of people. Therefore, if this kit is assembled correctly, it has the potential to win any race. All that is left is for you to make appropriate settings that suit the course, do maintenance, practice driving, and race with confidence. GOOD LUCK!!!

Made in the USA RC10 Team Car with Yokomo spec tires, hub assembly, ball bearings and white plastic wing included.

My heart says yes...but my wallet says no! The white nylon and black tub chassis team car was the car I grew up watching the most at race tracks and had a connection to as a kid. It is the buggy I both hated--because everyone competitive had one--and admired it because it had a clean design and was well-engineered. I remember being at Livermore Raceway in 1990 ROAR and walking up to Masami Hirosaka to sign my RC Car Action magazine. I think his pit was next to Cliff Lett, fuzzy memory, but everyone had the black Team Car with Viper body at the time. Mom threw away the magazine of course. The all-white and black vintage classic look is way too cool...so maybe down the road a build will come.
