What is the black material on composite craft chassis

Hello all.
What is the black top and bottom layer of a composite craft chassis made of? It seems to be a black fiberglass, but I haven't found any black fiberglass fabric nor have I seen any kind of carbon fiber with that type of canvas weave.

It also appears that the center is a non-fiberglass polyester fill layer.
Does anyone know?

Not sure, but I thought they were Graphite?

Thanks. That is leading me in a good direction

Graphite, just carbon fiber. Usually a super fine weave but could also be isotropic.

Black CF, without a weave pattern, is usually sold as unidirectional. Isotropic is the fab process where each ply of CF is laid at a 45 or 90 degree angle to the previous one.

Thanks.

Yes sorry, my mistake. Unidirectional is often layed out in isotropic patterns for strength, as Phin said.
