Rc10 graphite front shock tower questions

I'm looking at the parts to get an rc10 graphite together.
Looking at the 25 year thread and the manual I see the front shock tower is a 4 hole 6231, but the front shocks are listed as the 6449 listed as .56" on rc10.com.

Was there a running change in the shock tower this number? This looks like it is the same as the ce front end, just running .56" the short bottom load shocks vs the 6449 .71" v2 shocks.

Did the suspension travel work 'ok' at .56"

Per the manual, they used the inner mounting hole of the control arms. That is basically the same as Andy's arms, which used short shocks.

Team Cars and CE's used the outer holes and longer shocks.

Using the inner holes (or Andy's arms) doesn't work well with longer shocks. However, I have used Andy's arms and longer shocks together by using a taller Factory Works tower.

No, but there was a running change from the early 4 hole to the more common 6 hole.

Was the 6 hole variant used on the graphite?

the graphite Team car still had the 4 hole tower at first, so the graphite non team should have only had the 4 hole.
