My Frankentruck finally got a nice body shell. Mid motor graphite chassis T3. Novak SS4300 brushless with Novak XXL AM receiver and Futaba 2PL radio. The fast and twitchy Futaba S9550 steering servo seems faster than it's specs suggest.

TQ10, built from a bare chassis.
Instead of an original, I went with a (somewhat) racer.
- Andy's arms, Hogue bellcranks, A&L/ Factory Works towers (tall front for 0.71 shocks and Andy's arms) and transmission brace, and Pure-Tech strap.
- TBG body and MCI decals, in semi-box art.
- JC Racing wheels and Schumacher Mini Spikes.
- Electronic consists of Hitec esc and receiver, Futaba S132 servo, and Reedy mod.
Click on pics for better resolution.

Dinglem scared everyone away. Right now he is probably just waiting for the Loctite to dry on an AYK prototype raced by Jesus in the Olympics.
This is my original Top Cat I bought new and re-acquired recently.
I present it not as a "great build", but as a great experience- i.e. finding and restoring my old racer from 33ish years ago
It is a runner!
Novak T-1x (same one I installed when new)
Decals on the chassis and bulkhead are original!
Speed Gems "Diamond" 12x2
Sanyo 1700s in the photo, sits on the shelf with yellow and red Sanyo Cadnica stick pack
All original except transmission internals and a few minor bits

A Duratrax Evader BX RTR.
This car was a knockoff of the Losi XX and sold by Tower Hobbies.
In almost ideal condition, this almost 20 year old car only shows it's age due to the tires being somewhat too hard so they have been replaced.

My dusty and dirty rc10t2 carbon fiber basher
It's a basher and not a racer. It looks the part. It can handle runs in grass on 100+ degree days here in Socal so it's a year round car for me.
The only stock parts left are the shock towers, transmission case, topshaft, idler, motor mount and rear guard.

This is my personnal vision of the Tamiya TA05 R chassis with upgrades from 3Racing et many manufacturers parts.
- All blue parts were de-anodized and polished by hands.
- Full screws are Inox A2 ones.
- Tamiya Afla 155 DTM body (I'm a bad painter ...

)
- Full original esc + Motor from Tamiya
- Carbon parts made by a friend for test
- i know... the next removing of anodising and polishing concern the dampers
Fully operational, last run on may to play on a DTM track

Kyosho Optima Mid Re-Re w/ Exo LWB chassis
The Optima Mid series of cars meant a lot to me since they were the ones that I dreamed about throughout the late 80's but was never able to put one in my own stable. Then the rc10t came out and I just focused on racing a rc10 and 10t. Fast forward to 2022 and we get the Optima Mid re-release. It was an absolute must have for me. This one is built to be run hard at the track with modern electronics and tires (the stock 2.0 wheels and tires are for display). Its got the Exo LWB conversion/universals/turnbuckles, kyosho heatsink motor plate, rear arm/deck/servo mount upgrades, associated 13mm big bores and B6 hd ballcups and ballstuds. I slightly altered the upper deck for better battery and esc clearance as well as the rere gear cover to fit the big bore shock. The lower belt cover was extended using additional rere belt cover parts. Powered by a reedy shorty lipo to a 510r esc and 6.0 sonic m4 motor. Reedy LP servo turns the front wheels and I added bearings to the bellcrank. Shout out to Jeff (GoMachV) for making a wider steering rack for me similar to the one found on a lazer. It really helped eliminate all bump steer! The body, wing, and tray are from penquin along with a mci sticker sheet. I kept the gear diffs to better handle the power and I chose the mid custom livery because it was my favorite bitd. Lastly, yes, it is stupid fast!

This is the funniest sentence I've read in a long time! Too good.
