Hello!
Can we build a YZ10 based on Pavidis chassis and 97 carbon parts?

https://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/fl/cars/yokomo/wcspavidischassis.html

Whether both Pavidis Edition and 97 version share the same transmissions? What about suspension arms? Should we use Pavidis front arm with 97 carbon parts?

Thanks 🙏

Hey there, good questions. Someone on here will know more than I on this topic but….

- between the two suppliers you linked out to, you can get a fair amount of parts together to build a 95 (Pavidis) or a 97, it is almost up to you as they share a number of the same parts.

- the hardest parts in my opinion to find are all the bits to put together the front and rear diffs, and the rear diff mounts, covers etc but even some of those you can find on a 3d printing website like shapeways

- when buying parts from all over the internet from a bunch of different suppliers to you ultimately find that things don’t quite line up properly, fit isn’t always the greatest and may take some finagling (I have personally been putting together a non-OEM parts (including 3d parts) 93 WCS and it has been fun acquiring all the parts but there have been some minor fitment issues along the way).

- finally the budget. With shipping, this will not be an inexpensive venture to gather everything you will need to assemble a complete car. I figure around $800 - $1000 once you are all said and done.

With that being said, I have seen chatter around a couple replicas being built on Facebook that might become available in the near future so it might be worth waiting to see if they release full kits to the masses.

Hope I didn’t dissuade you, it is a lot of fun finding all the parts but it does take a fair amount of time to find everything and shell out the cash to acquire them. Best of luck!
