Hobbywing 1060 ESC - Brushed Motor - No Brakes, No Reverse

I recently finished a Tamiya M-06 VW Bus model, and it came with the 1060 ESC and a standard 540 motor.
I have a Spektrum DX5C with the 5 channel SR6100AT Rx. I've got everything working now, except the brakes and reverse.
The Tx is at all default's, I created a new model a few times now with the same results.
The 1060 ESC is set for F/B/R - which should be forward, brake, reverse.
I tried to get the 1060 LED's to show up in this video, but the angle is wrong, the lights behave correctly, except no brakes and no reverse LED's respond on the ESC, only the forward flashing and solid modes.
Any idea what's wrong here?

After playing around with this for a while, I got it to work.
I had to create a new model in the DX5C, Bind the SR6100AT to it, then there is a calibration sequence that has to be done immediately after initiating the Bind, by pressing throttle full/neutral/reverse, then left, middle, right on the steering, and then the Rx will Bind. This was not mentioned in the single-fold 1060 manual in the Tamiya kit, and I previously was able to Bind many times successfully without the Reverse being calibrated.
I'm new to ESC's, so I'm still figuring this out, used to MSC or nitro.
Also having this exact same problem with my Novak Rooster and RC10, no brakes no reverse, hoping it's something similar to this problem here and an easy fix as well.

Unfortunately the Rooster probably has a blown Break FET , not too hard to replace .

I did get the Rooster working, it was a calibration issue with the ESC\Rx, and it may have been a capacitor in the wrong spot too. Thanks!

No surprise there. They are useless and when they are helping you they are condescending and rude.
