BoLINK R/C Legends

The R/C Legends with its mid-motor fiberglass vertical twin plate chassis design was introduced by BoLINK in 1994. A coil over kingpin suspension was mounted to the front axle plate with a pinion and spur driven ball differential direct drive in the rear. A center fiberglass battery tray, nylon wheels, foam tires, bushings and lexan body rounded the unassembled kits out, which were offered in eight different bodies replicating coupes and sedans from 1934 to 1940. Shown here sharing ad space with the BoLINK Digger, it gives a taste of the differing advertising styles between BoLINK's race cars and their fun cars.

I think these are still available, perhaps under a different name. The local carpet oval track has a class for them. Even though cheap and simple, they get around pretty well. Their simplicity is not a hindrance on the smooth, flat, high grip surface. By far the coolest class to watch race! Motors and batteries are restricted, so the whole pack is covered by a second or two.

Rick Jordan (RJ Speed) bought out some of Bolink, he was one of the primary people at Bolink before it shut down.

I always thought the Digger was a lot older than these. I must always be confusing it with another Bolink.

There were different generations of Diggers.
The earlier ones were crude offroad cars, based on pan cars.

Wo Wo Wo!!! Undefined, imaginative, outside of the box, primitive maybe, but let's not go as far as crude!

Two different Digger generations, the 1993 Digger and 1999 Digger 2... the Digger 10 from 1982 was a completely different vehicle.

At the track here the Legends ran 21.5 on 1S LiPo. That was plenty of power as they are rather small and weigh next to nothing.

Look for a high speed bushing oil.
Team Brood makes.
I have a home brew lubricant that uses TSI 321 and isopropyl alcohol (~80% IPA) as a solvent. It needs frequent application but works well.
