1993 brought with it the Traxxas LS II, an evolutionary advancement over the previous Blue Eagle LS. A new flat deck carbon fiber chassis with 30-degree kickup maintained the same wheelbase but sandwiched a new bellcrank steering system under a black fiberglass upper chassis deck that stretched from the front bulkhead back to a chassis stiffening battery box. Shock towers were changed to black fiberglass and held teflon coated hard anodized versions of the previous oil-filled coilover shocks at all four corners. Additionally, new castor blocks were added to the otherwise unchanged 4-wheel independent lower a-arm and turnbuckle upper camber link suspension. The 2.2 cone dish wheels, Pro-Trax 4780 ribbed and 4790 Spike tires, bulkheads, 2.72 Pro-Series ball diff equipped 3 gear transmission, bearings, and universal joint driveshafts would all remain the same as well. The truck would however be adorned by a new extended cab version of the Slam It Low S10, designed and manufactured by Alec and Lane of A&L MFG. fame. Available only as an unassembled kit, less electronics.
