In 1990 Team Losi released an entry level 1/10 2wd electric buggy called the Junior 2. A combination of the JRx2 and Jrx Pro, with some cost cutting measures thrown in, allowed Team Losi to bring the designs of their professional level cars into the hands of novice racers. The Junior 2 was constructed entirely out of composite plastic, this included the chassis with its molded in stiffening ribs, 30-degree kickup, bulkhead reinforcing top brace, and JRx Pro length wheelbase. The 4-wheel independent suspension relied on a Jrx2 style lower a-arm/threaded camber link design up front and Jrx Pro h-arms with threaded camber links in the rear. The chassis however also accommodated the installation of Losi's 5-link rear suspension. Steering was handled with a servo saver integrated bellcrank arrangement a-la Jrx2 and Losi's 48-pitch, ball-diff equipped, self-lubricating transmission with aluminum motor plate was present and accounted for as well, though fitted with 32-pitch spur gear. The Junior 2 sported the JRx2's shorter oil-filled anodized aluminum coilover shocks with adjustable spring collars, perched on plastic shock towers front and rear. The JRx2 also donated its spoked plastic wheels (in white) along with Ribbed front and Spiked rear tires but rotating on plastic bushings instead of bearings. The Junior 2 received its own clear lexan body and was sold as an unassembled kit less electronics and radio:
