RC10T Craigslist queen

I picked up this basement shelf queen RC10T B stamp off craigslist for $100 a couple months ago.
Its got some period stuff...Novak 410HPC ESC, a trinity Joel Johnson "stock" motor, 21/87 gearing, Futaba S148 steering servo, the front skinny wheels included too.
I recognize the shocks are filthy, the nylon parts stained, everything needs disassembled and cleaned up, looked over, lubed and reassembled.
My excitement for this purchase instead had me wanting to first "function test" it and have a little fun.
So I updated the AM radio to Spektrum DX3, Proline rear tires; NiMH battery.
Well, that 27 turn motor with short gearing had me wanting to do some updates fairly quick.
I've started collecting parts for going 2S/brushless route, and giving the truck a good once-over.
-MIP CVD RC10T kit
-New RC10T sealed bearing set
-Associated Shock rebuild kit
-Hobbywing XR10 ESC/Justock 13.5T
-DHawk steering bellcrank
-Dhawk servo mounts
-35kg Feetech digital servo
I am hoping somebody could give me a starting point for gearing with this 13.5T combo.
When it comes to rebuilding the shocks, I have the Losi shock oil assortment 20-50wt and Associated shock seal kit.
Can somebody suggest F/R oil to use as a starting point?
Steering servo/linkage arm - this setup needs some improvement to help straighten the linkage arm.
Do I have room to move the servo mounts back to the other set of holes in the chassis using a normal sized servo?
Any other watch-outs or considerations, feel free to let me know. Very possible somebody will pick out some hidden gremlin I haven't.
Also I've seen in other peoples pictures how their cars look completely out of alignment, and sure enough, this RC10T does too!
Just clearing up that in real life it looks the way it should.
