Hey,
I picked up a broken Clod that looked unmodified, as I'd like to drive one for the first time; it's been on the list for many years.

The problem I have is that I accidentally bought a shelf queen!!

It has the blank grill, and is absolutely all original.
All that was broken was the D2 steering knuckle, and this was absolutely due to a storage/transport accident.

The Rx is not even taped down and the tyres have never been glued to the rims. It even came with a decent layer of dust.
Its done carpet driving, if its actually ever done anything!

My predicament is whether I drive it, or sell it to someone who would like a shelf queen.

The thing with Clods are they've been continually making them for decades by this point with little change. Unless someone specifically wants an all original vintage one, it's not too big of a deal that it is. The body likely has the most worth due to the blank grill and tailgate.

Also, if you plan on it being a runner, it may behoove you to sell this one to buy a currently produced one due to the aged ABS plastics of the original. It's a possibility that they've become brittle over time compared to fresh moldings, and Clods put a lot of stress on their components.

Just something to think about.
