TRC Schumacher CAT

As long as I'm in a CAT frame of mind, I decided to scan the original TRC (U.S. importer) full-page ad from Competition Plus of the short wheelbase CAT. This was from early 1987. I used to stare at this ad endlessly while I was supposed to be doing other things (homework) as a teen. After the first view of this car in person locally with Jim Dieter, Don Jones and Dan Louis behind the radios (all TRC guys), I was enamored with it until this day.
Coincidentally, I had my first can of Cherry 7-Up that day, too, as it was just released here.

I've just seen Doug's scan above of the TRC Cat for the first time and have to say that (i) what a great picture - if only it was in colour so we could replicate the paint scheme - and (ii) in that pose, I reckon the CAT looks the coolest of all RC Cars ever (in my humble opinion that is)! An engineering marvel of its day.....(not wanting to ham it up too much....)...
