Kyosho Mega Motors

In 1989 Kyosho introduced their new MEGA Motor line of mildly modified motors as a more affordable option to their LeMans series, with winds covering a range of on and off road applications. An interesting side note, Kyosho did not own, but licensed the MEGA-MOTOR name from Darda USA, the American side of the German toy car company founded by Helmut Darda in 1970, famous for creating the ratcheting clock spring powered "pull back" 1:64 cars that rose to great popularity in the 1980's.
