In 1992 kyosho introduced a 1/8 4wd gas powered stadium truck they aptly named the Inferno ST. The simple moniker allowed Kyosho enthusiasts to know exactly what they were getting, a stadium truck version of the 1/8 4wd Inferno off-road buggy. The DX buggy to be exact, whose underpinnings were carried over basically unchanged, from the aluminum pan chassis with its one-piece aluminum radio tray and glass reinforced nylon construction to the four-wheel independent double a-arm suspension with adjustable camber, twin bellcrank spring loaded servo saver steering system with adjustable tie rods, and aluminum shock tower holding a set of nylon bodied, oil-filled, coilover shocks in place. Present and accounted for was also the pinion and spur primary/shaft driven 4wd system featuring lightweight aluminum bevel gear diffs front, rear, and center, dog bones at each corner, aluminum front knuckles, plastic rear carriers and a twin plastic disk braking system. From there however things diverged as new body mounts supported a Stadium Truck styled clear lexan body, and silver finished two-piece "Phone Dial" style nylon wheels were wrapped in tall, skinny, and decidedly BFG Baja T/A appearing, rubber tires. A screw top gas tank, bushings, and front brush guard were included in the unassembled kit, which was sold less .21 engine, tuned pipe, manifold, starter and radio:
