RC10th-ishT4: tweaking it to the RC10th degree

Every time I look at my T4, I keep thinking about how much cooler RC10th's T4 is than mine. Mine will not be a clone of his, but I am going to borrow some ideas.

This is my starting point.

This might disappoint some people, but I really like the T4 RTR bodies (1 have 2 styles) so that will likely stay.

I'm honoured :D

That was a really fun build, can't wait to see what you come up with. Looks like a great start already.

I do appreciate seeing what you went through. The shape of the T3 and T4 chassis don't initially strike me as platforms to make modifications to, so it's nice to see your out of the box thinking.

I had a couple of important details that I messed up with the rear tower design, so I'll have to correct them for a version 2 rear tower. There were also so small details that I missed with the front tower, but they required just a bit of slight trimming. The front tower Is going to be a good fit.

Not much RC time this weekend end but have a small update. More Factory Works goodness arrived a few days ago. I think I have all the parts now to finish out this build.

Very nice! Even the one RC10th did as well. The natural fiberglass parts just look so cool! White nylon t4 a-arms would be the ultimate touch!

I'll have to think about the white nylon arms. I wasn't planning on that but it wouldn't be hard to do.

I did get some more weekend time to work this. Lunsford parts, CVDs, and shock towers installed.

Looks good, your print quality also always looks great. This makes me want to do another one :?

Interesting how you mounted the shock tower behind the bulkhead.....

if only I could draw and 3D print... :(

I guess I didn't show it in the pics, but the rear shock tower is sandwiched in the bulkhead at the lower section. I was keeping the shock mount points and body mount points in their normal positions and it's what I ended up with. It seems nice and rigid. It will get some run testing (probably torture testing  ) once I pick a motor and ESC combo. I was going to use my new Hobbywing setup but it went into my POS build.
