Hi Hi,
I used to run ProLine Dirt Hawg in the early days for general bashing around. I was wondering what could be a modern day equivalent?

What type vehicle (tire size) and what surfaces?
Depending on those, your options could be more limited.

ProLine Hoosiers might work.

For general buggy bashing and street running/testing, my current go to tires are traxxas anaconda rears and schumacher honeycomb fronts. I get very good mileage out of them and the harder schuey front tire helps prevent traction rolling on asphalt. Amain has them for a good price:

I haven't run them, yet, but I'm currently buying Pro Line Hot Laps because they have sort-of-scale radial tread look. I mainly run on hard surfaces so didn't consider all terrain, like the dirt hawgs. Downside is there isn't a 4wd front.

Previously I was buying Duratrax Banditos because they really looked like radials and had white lettering, but those were discontinued for 1/10 scale buggies, of course, right when I was about to buy more sets for a finished build.

Thanks for all the advise. Will check those out.
And planning to run them on a Turbo Optima/Javelin 4wd buggy. So, having 4wd front will be nice.

The Dirt Hawgs still turn up on E-Bay from time to time. I try to pick them up whenever I see a set...either front or rear.
I still think these were the best all-around basher tire for a buggy, especially if you run on asphalt. They last a long-long time.
Here's my basher Javelin on Dirt Hawgs.
