Just happened to check the AE website and nearly fell out of my seat! PREORDERS ARE NOW BEING TAKEN - GET IT WHILE YA CAN! This is the one I've been waiting for! I have the original sitting in my room with the box in great condition but I want this one and I just ordered it!!!!!

At that price, I will have to pass. Not worth building another 6 cog trans. How can the 4wd car cost about the same? There are (other than the chassis) no new parts in this thing.

Yeah, price is steep. Here's a video from their website as I thought it was cool to hear Cliff Lett talk about the Stealth Tranny (which I bought separate when I bought my original back in the day)...

If it was the coffin car with a Stealth, I'd give it some consideration.

But that car at that price, is almost comical.

I hoped to see it come one day, to buy one, but at this price, it's TTOOOOOOOO expensive, they are crazy at Team Associated, I will never buy it at this price!

Would be awesome to see them re release the stealth tranny as a kit like the one you have in box there.

An original RC10 Graphite was my very first 'real' RC car after messing with nothing but Tamiyas for a few years so it holds a special place in my heart.

But for $450+ for the repro, it's going to remain just a pleasant memory.

Seems like AE found just the right driver in you for this kit. Do you plan on driving it or shelving it?
This was my take on that.

It's basically a 40th classic with a carbon chassis, nothing new, no stealth or wide track.

I'd rather get the fanrc graphite, rc10 worlds with a stealth in it.

The AE one is too expensive

Broke the idler gear in my RC10 40th re-release, just brought the idler gear replacement but really hoping to replace it with stealth. Still looking...

As long as the build quality is there the Kinwald edition stealth would be the one to get. Hopefully the case molding is correct and it comes with the V2 slipper. Otherwise you should look at the FanRC stealth.

I was desperately waiting for this car. My original is in tatters. I second the motion for AE to re release that stealth kit. When the Fan Graphite worlds came out I dove back into the hobby head first. I'm about to build the gold team car re release and then I have the 4wd waiting behind that. My collection will be an original graphite with stealth (although that stealth will be a re release version once the restoration is complete) a gold pan team car (always wanted to build a gold pan) a 4wd which i guess is like a vintage prototype release but still really cool and finally the Fan Graphite. Not a bad stable. Enough to keep me busy.

For some reason I have no interest in this graphite. I know this is an ignorant statement but unless it has a stealth im just not that interested. Yes I feel snobby saying that but these purchases are acts of passion and I don't get that with the six gear. It's nostalgia and when i built my original it had a supplement set of instructions for the stealth and it just felt so special to a young teenager. Plus now I have a perfectly fine Fan Graphite. I was a little snobby about that car at first too but have really come to appreciate the Fan car and all of it's quality parts support. Bottom line is that when one of these re releases strikes that chord with you its just so hard to say no. Now if they release that tranny kit I will be all over it. Even if I can get an almost the same Fan tranny just about any time I want.

Same for me. This is the one I was waiting for...but not for $460 + tax/shipping if applicable. I'm not buying this one for that mucn $$ (particularly with the 6-gear trans). We're clearly in the minority though as it apprears they are already sold out on AE's website.

If someone wanted one and was able to fulfill that desire, I'm happy for them.

But I already have an original, so I don't fall into that category.
