In 1992 Tamiya followed the release of the Super Blackfoot with a new 1/10 2wd electric monster truck, the strikingly colored Bush Devil. Another platform shared model the Bush Devil spec sheet read almost exactly the same as its Super Blackfoot brother. Still based on the big wheel ORV chassis the 'Devil sported a new blue ABS plastic Frog based spaceframe chassis with lifted uprights, wide upper and lower front control arms and bellcrank mounted servo saver steering system with adjustable tie rods, spherical rod ends and upgraded spindles. Electronics remained under a black molded cover sandwiched between the chassis rails above the transversely mounted side loading battery. Just as the Super Blackfoot the Bush Devil featured and independent rear suspension with long lower a-arms and fixed upper camber links attached to a gearcase that doubled as the rear bulkhead. Red plastic bodied coilover friction shocks supported by molded plastic shock towers remained at all four corners. Putting the dash behind the 'Devils flash was the 540 powered pinion, spur and bevel gear differential turning a pair of metal dog bones. 12mm hex drives fit into single piece pink plastic wheels enveloped by a set of Monster Pin Spike Tires, and swathed in neon colored graphics was a lightweight clear lexan Ford Ranger body with bolt on front light bar and twin tube roll bar. A large front bumper, bushings, mechanical speed controller, and Mabushi RS540 motor finished off the unassembled kit, leaving the King Blackfoot as the last ORV based monster truck.
