Running and bashing beats up an RC and make it ugly. Lack of painting ability, horrible painting concepts, bad masking that bleeds, and crash damage makes an RC ugly. Not cleaning up after a run and not storing an RC indoors make it ugly. This contest is for the uglies. What does winning mean? Congratulations, your RC is ugly.
What does losing mean? It's still ugly, maybe even uglier than the winner. Sometimes it's hard to vote for the biggest POS.
Rules: We always need rules, even if they aren't enforceable
You have 7 days to post up photos of your entry. No need to do a placeholder. Just proudly put in your entry and let the intimidation begin.
Up to 10 entries are allowed
Up to
3 photos of an entry.
Photos are uploaded to the site not remotely hosted
Links to builds and YouTube run videos are encouraged
Run videos are YouTube links, not embedded videos that look like an extra photo
POS entry needs to be complete and runnable with electronics (battery not necessary in pics)
Open to all brands and franken-style builds
"Winning" one month does not disallow entry of a different POS from same member in another month, even if you are known as The POS King.
Past monthly "winner" not eligible for future monthly entry.
2 votes per member will be allowed. Are votes for an entry actually an insult?
Voting poll will be added on 8th of the month, or sooner if there are 10 entries before then.
Please only make contest entry posts before the poll is up. After poll has begun, other posts can be made.
Thanks for reading all this. Good luck?

Kyosho Ultima ST Sports RTR.
Features include an anemic 540 motor from an old mattress pump, mismatched and thoroughly roached tires, 3d printed shock spacers and a battery held in by a body pin and a prayer. The RT5 body was forced into service with creative body post reaming.
This one is pretty ugly, but functional. But there is another...
A Grasshopper so ugly, that I may swap the pictures out this evening.

Hi everyone !
This is one of my lovely runner, the
CRC GEN X10 SE , it comes with a beautifull body that doesnt deserve what happens next
I ran around 2 or 3 times a year and this lovely chassis pay the cost of my nearly driving exhibit .
1st run 1 month ago (2 days, around 7 lipos, 25/30 minutes 17.5 T motor) at the French event
" la Montluconnaise " : many roll over, scratches on the body and 2 ORCA ESC on the grill (burnt) = normal
2nd run last sunday (1 day, around 4 lipos, 20/25 minutes tamiya silver can motor) at the French event
" La Belleysanne " : zéro roll over, many hits on the track sides, 3D printed front bumper broken x 2, front tires near the rims, body exploded, Tamiya TBLe02S on the grill (burnt) = normal again
!!! I LOVE THIS CHASSIS !!!
IT WILL BE BACK ON THE TRACK ; maybe at the French vintage event " La Montcelienne" on september (more infos soon)

Here's my early Nitro Sport. I've always wanted to convert it into a Rustler.
I used to hit the biggest dirt jumps I could find as fast as I could hit them, jumped off cliffs, attempted epic high speed drifts, and it even ended up in the San Francisco Bay at one point.
Upgrades include a heavy duty rear body washer that doubles as a body clip dish, home-made steel rear tower, 1/4" thick stinger holder as I got tired of breaking fiberglass ones, and a few other genuine hop ups.
The orange fuel line is hideous and don't know what I was thinking

This Grasshopper II has not seen a single tuning part since it was first assembled. The mounts for the front bumper have broken off and the battery cover has been lost. Cable ties hold the Varta RSH 1200 battery in the chassis. Thanks to the worn and hardened first set of tires, I can drift wonderfully in slow motion with Johnson RS-380 S power on laminate flooring in the kitchen. Despite the 3-stage mechanical speed control, drifts can be controlled very sensitively. A dream! And the smell of childhood when the speed controller lubricant evaporates and the resistor gets hot...wonderful!

Rc10MT conversion
Back in the early 90's I had an uncle that was getting out of the rc game and gave my father an rc10 with a handful of spare parts. It sat for almost a decade when I decided to get it running again, threw in a novak duster and silver can, and then went on and converted it into a monter truck with some custom kydex body mounts and originally put a proline truck conversion body on it. As a street and park basher, that body then got destroyed and was replaced with two new bodies, a proline chevy stampede body and for shelf duty, a parma blackfoot lexan body. My intention was to show it with the beat chevy stampede body, but after digging around I could'nt find it, so here it is pulled straight off the shelf in all its glory with the nicer parma body on it. Its a typical used 6-gear rc10 with wide front arms, the arms were my first attempt at doing a black dye job, but were pulled to early so they look purple-ish, the rear of the chassis under the motor is getting thin from so much jumping on the asphalt, and the rest of the conversion uses crp front axles and rear adapters with og blackfoot wheels and newer second set of tires. Since I still run it occasionally, I took out the old futaba magnum am radio since I was fed up with it running away and smashing into a curb so often and put in an airtronics mx-v 2.4 radio.

This isn't really a POS for what it is but more for how it's setup makes it undrivable, or maybe the POS is the ham-fisted, throttle trigger happy driver that is expert at low and medium speed wipeouts. No high speed wipeouts because I never get there in my run area. This thing needs a lot more rear traction than it has. Maybe I should hang a dead brushed motor off the back of the motor pod....
Fiberglass RC10L
Novak SS5300 ESC + motor combo
Lunsford Punisher RC10L kit (which is just 2 steering turnbuckles)
Novak XXL receiver
Foam front tires, rubber rear tires
Used Outlaw Wedge body (shedding silver paint as fast as it can)
.

Not as POS-ish as some other members, but here's some more of my junk.
$40 Ebay Grasshopper (GH 2 body). I bought some Blitzer Beetle wheels on clearance, a pinion, and a battery door. Everything else came from my junk stash. I have less than $60 in it.
It has a Redcat 550 motor, Axial esc (with drag brake), and Traxxas receiver and servo. The rear shocks are from a Mini JRX2 (mine came with a stuck shock). The Pro-line tires and HPI/Blackfoot wheels adapters came from the stash.
The Grasshopper 2 body has seen better days. The roof is cracked, with an uneven repair. One pillar is glued back on, the other was missing. I replaced the missing pillar with a piece of music wire and antenna tube. It has a Krylon paint job and a bunch of decals (to hide it's misfortune).
If you click on the pics for better resolution, don't blame me.

Poll is up! I'm giving Trass the opportunity to still post up his entry. I'm assuming no one is voting for him until he actually adds his entry, but stranger things have happened. Remember you get 2 selections. Good luck?

I was really curious to see what GrePo was going to enter. I was almost sure it was going to be the world's roughest, most abused Yokomo
Grasshoppers seem to have an unfair advantage in POS competitions. But there's some good competition for the 2 hoppers.

The world's roughest Yokomo failed without a chance against the Hopper in an internal preliminary decision. The only thing I can do with it now is to dress it up a bit for BOTM

Thanks for your appreciation! I'm sure it would feel right at home next to your Hotmess Hornet.
