Recently learned about the Slash recall for asbestos while searching for vintage parts. I imagine this would be a greater concern with vintage stuff. How would one know if an old part contained asbestos?

I was looking at this for example:

You would have to grind that up and snort it to be any concern at all.

Those were rulon, Traxxas is the only one I can think of (I don't know the modern stuff well) that uses that type of material. It's more like automotive brake pad or clutch material. Rulon is nothing like asbestos.
