That does raise a question, what IS a good price for a verified car driven in a winning race? Think of all the time and effort that goes into accurate reproductions of these cars.

A brand new b7 goes for $400, NIB b4's sell for about that as well. The Sanwa 491 is a $80 used $120 for new, the lrp sxx was $300 new can't find a used one for pricing out. Servo battery and motor.

It seems pretty easy to get about $600-700 to just make nice reproduction of this if you want the right parts and need to buy them.

So what is the real deal worth?

"Whatever someone is willing to pay" is the correct answer. I'm not the target audience for this car, also when i looked at it I didn't realize it wasn't in USD.

eBay listing image added for posterity.

$2,900 USD represents a savings of 36% off the $4,500 AUD sticker price... look at the deal you get just for being American.

I could foresee some messages exchanged to verify the documentation & car from Ryans end prior to purchase, but that's just due diligence.

Probably a grand in trying to build a replica, with the NIB kit, parts, professionally painted body, tax, shipping, etc... maybe less with a nice pre-ran car for that authentic "It was raced" look. :D

In fact... should anyone want to build a replica... how about the best pictures you're likely ever to get of it:

One thing is definitely for sure... that is a really pretty buggy. 8)

I actually saved a bunch of pictures of that car just in case lol. I'll tell you what though, People making replicas of 21st century cars already have the advantage of way more pictures and documentation. Building the 93 BK car definitely makes me want for better pictures.

RIgh?!.. like TRX-1-3's '92 Reedy Race Inspired build... lucky to find a few 30-year-old pictures the size of postage stamps.

Tiny grainy pictures, most in greyscale. Probably even worse for the TRX as there was less coverage for that.
