inverted servo mount

In order to get my steering linkage to line up well, I tried something new and inverted the servo
The obvious drawbacks are 1: higher center of gravity 2: servo is more vulnerable.
Any other thoughts?

Does the linkage clear through the full range of travel? If so, run it.
Several cars have the servo mounted like that.

It doesn't contact the body? It seems that it would.

I am using the original RC10T body, and it doesn't contact. Surprisingly, it's not even close.
Thanks!

If that is a truck - no problem. For a buggy you can swap to a low profile servo. Then the linkage lines up nicely in a normal flat position.
