Ugghh, too busy. Want to finish the 100% NOS Green chassis, narrow wheel 10T, Stealth CE resto, Team Car resto, AMR (pre-GT) resto, white GT resto. ... :(

Not to mention a bunch of old HO slot cars that need to hit the auction block (anyone here into Riggen, Cobramite, or Dyna-Brutes?) to cover the impending winter expenses.

I have managed to play with this (note Associated decals to maintain content) in my not-so-spare time. Fun, and sort of a slap-in-the-face to Horizon/Losi  .

Shameless video of my workspace (heli-view), in case you want to feel sorry for me and all those projects that will keep me busy for a looong time:

Hints:

Think France...(van, "cabriolet") and Eastern Europe or Malcom Bricklin (silver car) ...

Keep trying, at least the soundtrack is worth listening to a few times...

I'll bet Asso Man nails them all!

mid-70's Datsun King Cab
VW Type 181 (Thing - early 70s)
small bumper mkII VW Golf, '85-'89
the silver car is a Yugo (Bricklin)
Citroen AK400 van
Ubiquitous VW Beetle (they all look alike to me)
Lots of Vespas and what looks like a Honda motorcycle, too

Yep!
In fact there are two 2cv Citroën.
One seems to be a limited version, more or less the last one, the 2CV Charleston.
The second, the red one, is a 2cv "Fourgonnette". But as we can't see the front it could be an Acadianne.
Cheers from france!

Well, I'm "working" on a project. Collecting one part at a time. Today I scored the most important part of the entire project.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=160053793791

I've got some NIB wheels and tires already. So, the hardest part is done. Now I just need a the car.

I'm working on another top secret project too. Almost a year ago I started it and it's been collecting dust. Oh, and I've got something up my sleeve for the TMS RC10 dually I bought off of MonsterBeetleGuy.

Not to mention the JPS Tremor Clodbuster and GPM Juggernaut that aren't quite done yet.

But, all of these projects will have to wait a while longer to complete. I'm moving in two weeks and I just bought another complete project from one of my other hobbies. I asked for a BIN and I got one. Check it out....

In the meantime, here's the theme song for my JRX2 project.

Well, I left Kentucky back in '49
An' went to Detroit workin' on a 'sembly line
The first year they had me puttin' wheels on cadillacs

Every day I'd watch them beauties roll by
And sometimes I'd hang my head and cry
'Cause I always wanted me one that was long and black.

One day I devised myself a plan
That should be the envy of most any man
I'd sneak it out of there in a lunchbox in my hand
Now gettin' caught meant gettin' fired
But I figured I'd have it all by the time I retired
I'd have me a car worth at least a hundred grand.

CHORUS
I'd get it one piece at a time
And it wouldn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is a round.

So the very next day when I punched in
With my big lunchbox and with help from my friends
I left that day with a lunch box full of gears
Now, I never considered myself a thief
GM wouldn't miss just one little piece
Especially if I strung it out over several years.

The first day I got me a fuel pump
And the next day I got me an engine and a trunk
Then I got me a transmission and all of the chrome
The little things I could get in my big lunchbox
Like nuts, an' bolts, and all four shocks
But the big stuff we snuck out in my buddy's mobile home.

Now, up to now my plan went all right
'Til we tried to put it all together one night
And that's when we noticed that something was definitely wrong.

The transmission was a '53
And the motor turned out to be a '73
And when we tried to put in the bolts all the holes were gone.

So we drilled it out so that it would fit
And with a little bit of help with an A-daptor kit
We had that engine runnin' just like a song
Now the headlight' was another sight
We had two on the left and one on the right
But when we pulled out the switch all three of 'em come on.

The back end looked kinda funny too
But we put it together and when we got thru
Well, that's when we noticed that we only had one tail-fin
About that time my wife walked out
And I could see in her eyes that she had her doubts
But she opened the door and said "Honey, take me for a spin."

So we drove up town just to get the tags
And I headed her right on down main drag
I could hear everybody laughin' for blocks around
But up there at the court house they didn't laugh
'Cause to type it up it took the whole staff
And when they got through the title weighed sixty pounds.

CHORUS
I got it one piece at a time
And it didn't cost me a dime
You'll know it's me when I come through your town
I'm gonna ride around in style
I'm gonna drive everybody wild
'Cause I'll have the only one there is around.

(Spoken) Ugh! Yow, RED RYDER
This is the COTTON MOUTH
In the PSYCHO-BILLY CADILLAC Come on

Huh, This is the COTTON MOUTH
And negatory on the cost of this mow-chine there RED RYDER
You might say I went right up to the factory
And picked it up, it's cheaper that way
Ugh!, what model is it?

 To be honest, I barely even remember Rad. There's a few clips on youtube. I've wanted an 84 or 85 Pro Performer or Pro World Tour for a while now, I've always been a big Eddie Fiola fan, and I love white bikes. Actually I've been thinking of building up a white Fiola-inspired GT for a little while now, so when this came up I jumped at it. Not sure where I'm gonna put it, my new apartment isn't very big. I guess I'll be stacking it right on top of my 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model. It's black, they'll look great together. I guess maybe they'll go in the kitchen.

i remember, like 20 years ago, there was a vert and flatland exibition at a local cycle shop about 15-20 min. from my house. me and all my freestyle buddies went to check it out. it was awesome. i had my gt bicycles jersey on, and all of the gt riders signed it. i can't remember all of their names. josh white, dave voelker, and i think eddie fiola signed it too. i even got dmc to sign it. i think he was riding for mongoose at the time. before and after the show we were allowed to ride on their ramps and stuff, too. it was freakin' neat.

i wish i knew where that jersey got to. :(
