as many of you know[ if your members of clod talk, or ford fanatics] my father past way last june from complications with cancer, and that i was planning to redo my rc10 with him just like we had sat down and build it originaly after Christmas 87, well after fighting with people on e bay for a M.I.B 6010, i had a post on clod talk for a rc10 , no luck until oneeyed dog sent me a bunch of parts, i was so happy , i knew i could pull it off, but i didn't TAKE TIME to get it done , dad's health worsened, and he past away, disheartened i put the parts in my shed, they gathered dust until the other week, grabbed all of them and brought them home, i cleaned up most of them, found my losi bell cranks [ that was my first upgrade{i earned those things building my sister's house}] with the help of my kids[as all you parents out there you know how much help a sugared up 6 & 3 year old can be{LOL}] i took much of my rc10's steel parts and transfered them to the donor chassis, i actually won a body & front rims off e bay , had a rear set sans tires so i almost have a roller, but an idea for a body , i didn't have , then i was talking about it at work and one of my operators asked me what color did i paint my rc10 'red and black' she grinned and said " phoenix" it hit me like a ton of bricks. I hunted for the right picture, the i did another search and put in 'fire bird ' i found this j peg from a cancer survivors site . It spoke to me in volumes, when the weather has broke, and my compressor get returned from my 'buddy' I'll update the post .
