I have tried everything I can think of to get an axle roll pin out and I can't get it. I need some Ideas. I have no vise to hold the carrier so keep that in mind. I have never had such a problem before.

I have always used a large set of pliers like the one in this link.

I use wire cutters, you kill the cutters, they are relegated to axle roll pin removal after the first one.

Two actions, you compress the roll pin as you squeeze the handle, and then you use the tip of the axle as a fulcrum point.

Yep, vice grips clamped down and twist the roll pin out. Kind of flattens the roll pin after time, but just replace it when it gets too bad.

Or, save those .070" and .050" wrench tips if you break one. A hardened allen tip, a hammer and a small vice and you can easily drive the pin out without ruining the pin or any other parts. In a pinch, a small enough drill bit will do the trick, too, but it isn't great for drilling anymore after that.

i use an old 1/32 slot car pinion gear puller, it's a slightly larger puller than what is sold nowadays. i have no clue where i got it but it also works good for removing dogbone pins to install pin cushions too.

I tried a nail, allen wrench, all with a hammer, pliers and gave up for the day. My 10yr old said try wd40, I thought yea like thats going to work, I did it to humor him just before I put them up. I came back to them today and was so pissed off I used channel locks and pulled as hard as I could and I got them out. Lost one of them in the garage some where but who cares. I got them out.
Point of the story: I am not smarter that a 5th grader!

In your area, do you have a "Harbor Freight or Dollar store in your area? I haven't done it yet, but one of the tips I saw/learned a long time ago and It would be a usedful tool.

it will requirie making some cuts so a cheap plier (singular) should be used. If you have access to a rotary tool (dremel) and a cutting wheel should do the trick.
