Gearing for brushless?

So has anyone experimented with gearing an RC10 for a brushless system? It's been stated that the 6 gear may not handle a brushless/Lipo system so well, but how have people geared the Stealth and with what battery/motor combination? I'm interested to hear what people have experimented with.

This past Sunday we have tested our runner for a 6 hours enduro race that will take place in two weeks, the best combination with a Mamba 4600 kv, Mamba ESC and Orion 4800 LiPo packs was 81/20 for the good old Stealth tranny, I'll report after the race too...

Ill second the Mamba 4600, I ran 21/81 and it was ballistic. I was using Orion 3200/3600 Lipos. Most of the time, I couldnt keep the front end on the ground.

Yup, I plan to add some weight on the front (something like 30 to 40 grams) and yes it's a bomb with that set-up and it jumps like no modern car!!!!!!!

My only gripe with Castle Creations (Mamba) system is the sensorless design.

For anyone looking to race a buggy or anything else for that matter, it's not really the system of choice.

What dat mean? Forgive the brushless newb..

Does that mean it doesn't have Lipo cutoff?

sensored vs. sensorless
Sensorless motors are only ROAR legal in Modified class in any form of racing, and they use sensorless ESCs. Sensorless motors are not legal in stock or superstock, so buying a Mamba ESC will limit you from ever racing in stock or superstock with that system.

Heheh, he's been away from RC for 15 years. Things are a
little different today than they were back then.

Hey! Cut me some slack!
I've been in R/C coma for the last couple of decades... Coming here to RC10talk is like I never left though.

Don't forget about the beginning of the end.
