I've talked to chad smith at dyno-tech about making some delrin rear A-arm mounts. He's interested in doing them and wants me to send him some parts for design. I'm curious what specs you guys would like to see? I'm thinking 3 degrees of caster and 1.5 toe in per side. I have no idea on pricing, but chad's prices are usually pretty good, not to mention, the more he can sell it will give a little more leverage on the price and probably get them to production sooner rather than later. Again, I have no idea on price but wanted to get peoples feedback before I really get the ball rolling on the project. Let me know.

I know Chad well, make sure you specify delrin, not laser cut 6/6 Lucite, just my opinion--

He does really nice work, I said delrin specifically. I have quite a few of his parts on my projects and I race one of his long wheelbase 18t chassis' which isn't as competitive since the Losi latemodel came out I think I need an extra long 18T chassis now!

Very nice idea, I would take a few pairs for sure. Since those rear arm mounts are quite rare now and that they broke quite easily (especially when you have 20 years old ones), I'm sure Chad will have his money back in no time. I would go for stock specs first (3° catser and 1.5° toe-in) and then maybe other specs?

I would definitely be interested in these for my runners. Stock specs (3 deg castor/1.5 deg toe) would also be perfect.

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but why delrin for the arm mounts instead of 6/6 Lucite? Is this a more suitable material for this particular application? What would be the better choice material to make A-arms from, delrin or 6/6 Lucite?

The laser cut Lucite does not have the "look" you guys will want, (shiny on one axis, cut on the other two) and the parts will have
square edges instead of finished. But if you Machine out of white nylon, or delrin then you get
all edges finished and the "protoype" look. Once again just my 2 cents

part wise, nothing- in this case one thermoplastic is the same as the other

I would take at least two sets price dependent.

what about some front bulkhead/a-arm mounts as well?
