Does anyone have the issue of RCCA with the look at Jack Johnson's prototype LXT that won the nationals? I'd really like to see that again
Thanks
Mark

Me three, my truck was in the opening spread action shot. Not sure if I still have it, I had to clean up for a move, meant to keep that one but haven’t seen it for a while. I’ll have to look some. The mag I mean, still have the truck & body. One of my buds got the only local driver prototype the night before.
2 Losis vs 8 Associateds in both mains, and Losi won them both I believe. Woohoo!

The RCCA archives are online, $20 will get you just about everything in all the old magazines. I've downloaded 1986 up to 1991 so far. Any Idea what year/issue would have had this article?

Probably late '91. Might be December if my fading memory serves me at all.
Held at Columbus Ohio. Same club that holds the Midwest Winter Champs. One of the longest running and largest entry offroad races in the US. Started in '88 I believe. Although the name has changed to CRCRC, Columbus Radio Control Racing Club.
A poorly stored souvenir that gives the race date:

OOPs, my bad. both of my posts are about the race coverage. Not sure about the article on Jack's winning modified proto LXT, if that was in this issue or another.
I will check with my buddy, I still see him from time to time. He went over to the dark side, damn nitros. I'll see if he still has his prototype, see if we can get some pictures of it.

Columbus is Temple's turf..... I am sure he might have some info to add.

CORCAR predated CRCRC. Bill Stevenson lurks here occasionally, former CORCAR prez. He still announces the January Winter Midwest at CRCRC. There's lots of stories about those early races...however I don't know them all firsthand. Tales of the 10T being raced here before the Florida Winternats, etc. Maybe Jim Ruff will pipe up...another lurker from Columbus.

This is all I could find.... Feb 93.
Looks like RCCA only started to review the LXT in October of 92.
Either way, enjoy!
