My XX's spur gear is a mess, I need to sort out a new one, can I use any aftermarket spur gear, of do I have to try and find a Spur specifically made for the XX? t

Does your spur have round pegs that stick into holes in the slipper plate, and like a castle section around the hole on the other side for a possible hydra?

Sorry, but I think that one is 'special'.

try vintagelosi.com under the buying parts section, that should give you a start on finding a gear. I am not sure if the xx spur is the same as the xxx but I believe you can put the xxx slipper assembly on your trans, you might have to put a xxx top shaft in though. It's been a long time since I've owned a losi so I cold be completly wrong. Hope that helps give you a start.

I would imagine you can probably use XXX spurs if you convert the rest of the slipper parts over.

The problem is, it has to have the interlocking thing-thing-a-ma-jig for the Hydra Drive system.

Oh, you want to keep the Hydra Drive. Gotcha. Let me have a look in my long lost parts bin and see if I still have a couple of those spur gears. What colour/teeth count are you looking for?

Thank you guys for all your help, I've ordered those spurs from ebay 84 teeth spur, and after careful inspection and running my car, the spur is not that bad, it does makes a little bit of noise, but it still meshes nicely.
