Turnbuckle Lengths

Does anyone know of a modern Titanium turnbuckle kit that I can use on an RC10 (stock wide front arms and stock rear arms) that I can still purchase and find replacement turnbuckles if I need to? I'll be using the innermost mounting points on both the front tower and rear bulkhead (base of wing tubes) to give you an idea of the lengths needed. I should've measured the ones I used on one of my builds before I put the caps on and popped them on. I bought a complete set for a B2 thinking they would work, but they're way too long and the threads would need to be cut longer most likely making a mess of them if I was going try to "fix" them with a die.

Doh! I found the length I need for the rears after digging a bit, now I just need the wide stock lengths. Does everyone use Lunsford turnbuckles for modernized RC10s?

FWIW, Lunsford t-buckles are 3mm which is heftier than original 4-40 Associateds. They are an optimistic fit in the original RC10 ball cups, to say the least, but they do fit I have my 1/12th scale car set up with them). Upgrading to a HD RPM or Losi ball cup would help, but it depends on how period correct you want to be.

Period correctness doesn't matter at all. These will be on my Siebenelch car that has as many modern parts on it as possible. So what would the proper combination be? Lunsford turnbuckles and RPM or JConcepts ball caps?

I'm fond of Losi ball cups myself, but Jconcepts makes nice ones, too.

Jconcepts ball cups are pretty nice (and available in white!), plus not as fat as the RPM ends. IIRC the early big hex Lunsford and RCPS turnbuckles were 4-40 thread, then they all switched to 3mm thread when they went to a 3/16" square.

So what length turnbuckles are you using there? That's the same setup I'm using for hub carrier and rear bulkhead.

Actually, by the looks of it the front setup you have is what I could use too. So any idea what lengths all those lengths are or what you bought?

Sorry Keith, they're FT replacements for a CE or Team car. I've not measured them, they used to be available in a set...
