Quote of the day (Friday): hoopty, "it's those damn Duratrax wheels that are breaking on me....." (referencing his slow track times)

RCHR asked the racers that spent the day Friday if they were interested in holding some pre-Vintage Nationals races simply just to get some track time and for fun. Most of those who used the day to practice stuck around for some fun. 17 people competed in two sets of qualifying heats and two set of mains (5 min), all classes were open…. run whatcha brung. Without surprise, hometown favorite and shop owner started out the night on top and pretty much stayed there for the rest of the evening.

First round of pics....... Let me precede these with my own personal disapproval in the outcome of my photos. Nothing against the track, but the lighting situation doesn't match my skill set, so I am struggling a bit. But nonetheless, here are the best thus far.

An the award for the best sense of humor (yes Tad and Halgar.... someone else has out done you both), plus the most unique entry goes to Anthony aka aconsola for his "mrlexan's spy entry", the 2-Liter RC10!!!! Great stuff Anthony! **NOTE** by looking at the photo you can tell how hot and humid it is here.

temple, I did some laps with bscotti RC10 and his Werks 93, then some with hoop's RC10 and his RPM 10T yesterday during practice..... I can't get used to the hard track conditons of today, my mind keeps going back to the true dirt tracks of yesteryear the last time I raced.

carloco, there are 4 in the 4WD class... 2 Yoks, an Optima Mid, and a Hotshot, there are 5 in the truck class, 5 in the Blackfoot style class and 4 in the vintage/classic class.
