Special Thanks goes out to Erich Reichardt for giving me the opportunity to take and post some pics of the original!!!!! How cool is this piece of RC history. I am sure the racer truck needs no introduction, but the other...... Erich's tell me it is the back up/alternate truck for the box art of the 10T. Enjoy the photos and thanks again Erich!

finally, the close ups. that's some great stuff. looks like the body made it's rounds. a few new decals since the rcca shoot? or could it be that it's another similar body?
ouch to the hole in the side of the tub.

lol. ya the truck was run i guess. When i got it, i cleaned it up some and replaced some of the old parts with shiny new ones. I'll have to go back and look at that gear cover. Thanks temple.

Definately one of my favorite trucks of all time! That issue of RCCA the cover fell off cause I looked at it so much. Erich, Jay, thanks for bringing this to us. The hole in the tub is to get the servo saver off without having to pull the servo, race trucks are about function, not beauty.

I don't think it was mentioned, but Erich did win Most Authentic with the Lett Truck in the Concourse event. Congrats Erich, well deserved.
Erich, you should post a pic of you and the truck after the competition..... it is on your camera. Also, Erich/Tad Racket won best best with the box art replica. Tad should be mentioned as Tad did all the hard work, well I guess Erich did too as he forked out the cash for a great replica.
Finally, Scr8p won best of show with the Halsey Replica. Well deserved again.

Erich, what is the history behind this truck and how did you come accross Mr.Lett's original? That is true historical piece!!

I was told that the truck was on ebay for a while and no one bought it, so Erich contacted the seller and offered him and X amount of money, a deal was reached and the rest is history.
Erich actually bought it for less than what it was going for on Ebay.
I hope this info is accurate, as it came from one of the RCHR guys

What model truck is that and did he have the chassis done or was it a factory powder coated? did he jut get a kit with a pot luck chassis or what?
