I won this on yahoo japan auction.
http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n69300548
there was a problem left. they do not ship overseas, my shipping (and, translating) agent charged me $120 just on "Handling" and, I need to pay international shipping again. I live right next door to japan. but, the shipping charge is not different between here and US.
anyway, I got it.

Very nice catch..... even if you had to pay extra. NIBs are rare.

thanks mrlexan.
I'll update the pics once I get the kit. the description was poor on auction page 'caus seller doesn't know much about RC10. some extra parts are shown. but, the seller said there were some missing parts. I hope that I can find the parts in my box.

I got a phone call from the customs office today. I'll get the package tomorrow.
sum total is $530.00

Sounds like you are pretty close to having a full kit.
How are the Japanese version tires different from the others?

tires are made by Yokomo. ribbed front tires have spikes, and mini pin rear tires.

Very interesting... Now that you mention the tires, I seem to recall there was another post not long ago about a Japanese release kit that had that Yokomo tires. From a collector's point of view, I'd think that kit has even more appeal and value because of its uniqueness. Does the box have a Japanese label as well?

That other kit also had a longer front shock tower and a few other bits and pieces specific to the Japanese market...

The biggest thing is the milled chassis. Also, I don't think many were on the market so they are harder to come by.
