Can anyone provide any info on when the 2 versions of the ZX-S were released? I'd be interested in some photos of the earlier one with the Losi shocks.
Also after photos and the standard specification of the ZX-RR?

Re: Information on Kyosho Lazer ZX-S & ZX-RR
Well I have the info and two prototypes. PM me your email and will send pics. I think they were released around 95/96
The Lazer ZXRR is with a hyper clutch, the cells moved further backwards, the shocks are the basically the very first of the new shocks Kyosho put on their buggies, but were not blue and leaked. This buggy I didnt like as much as the Mk1, even though it won the euros.
The ZX-S with the Losi shocks, I think only 300 of them were introduced onto the market. this buggy made two Worlds A's and basically had the wishbones and hubs, diffs, hyperclutch ad layshaft gears, Ujs of the ZXR. The one way was different, the belts were a different size, the chassis was a one piece chassis with a kick up at the front. Also a Yokomo wheel hub. It is in my books a work of art, as it uses Losi and Yokomo designs. I know someone who has one but without the Losi shocks (it has the original prototype Kyosho three piece blue shocks that were on my buggy), and will see if I can get a pic or two for you.
My two prototype buggies that are on the ZX-S thread, and they did make 200 of this model, so am unsure how many of the team cars there were, but doubt there was that many. Only the team ones had blue every where, the rest are just silver with a blue kick up plate on the chassis. Mine has the only carbon fibre one.
These have different front and rear hubs, different made Ujs, and of course hex wheel nuts but anyway it was a project that never got finished by Kyosho properly, as the front gear box casings are far to weak, the rear shock tower mount breaks so easily and the design was not redeveloped from the original cad drawings (thats on both ZX-S cars). Its basically a half done job which was a pity.
