JRX2 How To?

I just bought a couple more vintage Losi'-A JRX2 & a JRX Pro.
The Pro is in good shaep and will become a nice shelf queen, soon.
I want to run the JRX2,and have been-with a brushless setup in it!
The JRX2 is currently running H-Arm rear suspension, with two upper side 4-links still there.
I REALLY want to put this car back to it's origional 5-Link rear suspension, what do I need to do this?
I have two new side four link mounts on the way and already have the upper two side links-what else do I need and where can I get it?
I'm sure I have the correct uprights to run the 5-Link,so I guess I need the lower two 4 bars on the side and the four links where the A-arm is at the moment.
Am I missing anything I need?
I want to run the JRX2 for a good, long while before restoring her, with the brushless!
It's rugged looking,but I kinda like it's beater looks...A wing would be cool,too.
Does anyone have the parts I need?

can you post more pics of your current setup without the rear wheels on? I'm curious as to how you have the shocks mounting considering they normally mount to the bottom link which is missing. If you plan on running the car regularly you will find that the rear lower shock mounts tend to be a weak spot.
asking to purchase parts outside the buy/sell/trade forum is generally frowned upon.
RTFM is the answer to your setup questions

That link will get you all of the manuals for the original series of losi cars/trucks.
As for a wing there are lots of non-oem options available, you could bend up your own music wire, use standard wing buttons with a buds wing and maintain the vintage look with all currently available parts.

keep us posted with pics of your build progress, and any bashing carnage

If I remember correctly I think the main things you need besides the links mentioned are the lower shock ends and the shoulder bolts that go with them. Other than some pivot balls and bolts for the lower side links, which should be no problem. I’m assuming that you have the correct hubs, otherwise no where to mount the upper side links that are on the car.

Apologies for asking for parts outside of the B.S.T. section.
Sure,I'll pop the rear wheels off and snap a couple photos.
The shocks are bolted to the H-Arm,with 10mm spacers. Thanks for the links-Much appreciated!
The car drives real nice and the diff and tranny are butter smooth.
I hope there isn't too much carnage, but I'll keep you posted!
Do XX era shock catriges fit these early shocks?

The current shock cartridges fit fine as far as I know. Don’t believe these have changed much in design since day one, other than coming pre built or not.
Suggest you keep a check on the diff setting, be sure to keep it tight, don’t let it slip. No slipper to protect the diff. This diff gear melts fairly easily.

The newer style shock cartriges will fit, but they may require spacers. the new ones are signifigantly shorter, both the portion inside and outsied the shock body. They used to come with a little slip of paper to explain what spacer went where depending on which car you were putting them on. If I can find one I will post a pic of the instuctions.

Thanks so much for the shock catrige info,Gary!
This XX will be a runner.
My XX CR has been restored with all graphite parts and the last time I ran it the 'Graphite' lettering almost came off the front arm

so that sucker sits on the shelf.
I had all the parts in stock to convert the rear end to CR specs,so that was the first thing I did to it.
I'll throw a 12x2 and a Novak GT7 in it and give it a run,when I feel inclined.
This car placed second in the 2007 NZ nationals and won the North Island champs the same year!
Not bad for US$20!
